On Saturday, May 18, 2024, Amityville Rotary, in partnership with the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, will collect necessities such as $5 bills, hand-warmers, water bottles, hand wipes, travel size first aid kits, energy bars, rain ponchos, jerky sticks, chapstick, etc. at Southside Florist in Amityville for the creation of Blessing Bags. They will then assemble over 100 blessing bags at the LICH location in Amityville, and they will be distributed to the local homeless shelter.
Donations will be accepted at South Side Florist located at 86 Broadway, Amityville, NY 11701 or can be brought to the packing event.
