On Saturday, May 20, 2023, Glen Cove Rotary will install a Peace Pole on Bridge Street next to the police booth, which will represent the importance of thinking, speaking and acting in the spirit of peace for its Rotary Day of Service.

The Peace Pole Project is part of a global movement to promote peace on earth. Each Peace Pole bears the message May Peace Prevail on Earth in different languages on each of its sides. There are estimated over 250,000 Peace Poles in every country in the world dedicated as monuments of peace.
