On Saturday, May 20, 2023, New York Queens Rotary is hosting a Blood Drive at the United Sherpa Association in Elmhurst, where one donation can save up to THREE LIVES for its Rotary Day of Service.
Why donate blood?
"Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Blood is essential to help patients survive surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. This lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. The need for blood is constant. But only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly. You can help make sure that supply meets demand." (Source: American Red Cross)
Whether you’re in Rotary or not, we’d love to have your help for as much of the day as you can spare! Please sign up to volunteer, and we’ll be in touch.
